Int. Krakow Choir Festival

The International Krakow Choir Festival will be held from 10th to 13th June 2010 in Krakow, Poland, one of the “most beautiful cities in Poland and Central Europe”. The organizing commitee is member of the International Federation for Choral Music IFCM and invites choirs to participate in this festival and competition, but also to sing at concerts which accompany the festival.

The festival will take place in in many important places in Krakow including the final gala concert in Krakow Philharmonic. Acceptetd are 7 categories of choirs:

  • Mixed Choirs Adults – singers above 18 years – minimum 20 singers
  • Equal Voices Choirs Adults (Male or Female)- singers above 18 years min. 20 singers
  • Youth Choirs – singers 12-26 years – minimum 20 singers
  • Children Choirs – singers under 16 years – minimum 20 singers
  • Chamber Choirs (no age limits) – 12-24 singers
  • Gospel, Negro Spirituals, Popular and Barbershop Music (no age limits) min. 20 singers
  • Sacral Music (no age limits) minimum 20 singers

In each category the competitors can win 600, 400 and 300 Euro. The registration fee is 100 Euro for the Choir for the first category and  50 Euro for each optional additional category. The deadline will be the 15th March 2010.
