Polyfollia is a festival which aims to promote the best of all vocal polyphonic music through a biennial event : the world showcase for choirs and vocal ensembles – a festival and a marketplace for choral singing in all its forms, for both professionals and the general public.

Polyfollia 2010 presents a selection of the best choirs and emerging professional vocal ensembles from all over the world : 14 ensembles, 300 performers, in 50 concerts throughout the Basse Normandie region.

Four days of choral excitement in Saint-Lô with more than 150 free events open to the public :
120 mini-concerts given by 60 amateur choirs from all over France : formal concerts, sung Masses, jam-sessions in the “singing bars”, concerts in hospitals, etc.
30 workshops and seminars, learn about a choral repertoire from another country, or discover new vocal horizons under the direction of internationally recognised choir leaders and personalities from the choral world ,
– stalls retailing merchandise specific to choral music : scores, multimedia equipment, books, etc.

In addition:
a spectacular exhibition on the ramparts of Saint-Lô by the photographer Sylvain Guichard.
the creation of “7 Rounds” : a series of canons based on drinking songs which will be performed during the grand singing parade through the streets of Saint-Lô.
