Int. Choir Festival Coralua Trondheim

The International Choir Festival Coralua takes place from 23th to 29th August 2014 in Trondheim, Norway. Admited are three different types of participants: choral ensembles, individual choral singers and choral conductors. Both local and international singers are encouraged to participate. Coralua is non-competitive and its main purposes are to promote quality workshops offered by renowned international conductors for children, youth and adult choirs, and to perform concerts by all the participants in important venues of Trondheim.


Folk Music – The first concert of the Festival will welcome all countries participating to Coralua Trondheim. Each choir will perform music from their own country, representing their culture through music, our language in common.
Sacred Music -Trondheim has more than 40 churches where sacred music is an adequate repertoire to sing in. All choirs will have the opportunity to perform in one of the most important norwegian kirke.
Public Concert – Choirs from Coralua will present their repertoires to the city of Trondheim in a public outdoor venue. With an original  distribution of the choirs over the space, we will create together a magic and original atmosphere.
Closing Concert – The closing ceremony of the Festival will start with the final concert on friday 29th August 2014. All participants from Coralua Trondheim will perform the workshops repertoire conducted by the renowned directors invited for this first edition
